11-14-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report

Launch Location - Lake Erie - Huron, Ohio

Fishing on Lake Erie continues to produce a great bite and great grade of fish. The Huron Ohio area has been staying steady with lots of fish catching action. The dumping grounds have been producing lots of fish. As the night time lows in the 10 day forecast plummet, so will the water temp. Speeds will likely be adjusted as the water temp cools down further and further. The water temp is currently around 50 degrees. These upcoming cold nights will have the water temps down to 40 in a hurry. Jason and Kim Hites had another fantastic day on the water and have provided the details on this awesome fishing report!

Fishing Report

We started near the SE corner of the Huron dump and didn't go any further than a mile in any direction around the dump. We did get into a mess of white bass at one point but the walleye were still plentiful! Trolling speeds were 1.4 - 1.8 mph. Fish were everywhere. Certain pockets of fish were active and feeding, some weren't. We just trolled through the pockets of fish and picked them off from the feeding schools. 70' - 120' back on Bandit Walleye Deep Cranks caught all of the fish. We caught fish on leads as short as 35' - 50' back but 70'-120' back unassisted was best. Bright colored Bandits took the fish. Another great day on the water!
