9-6 Lake Erie Perch Report
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, OH
After getting back from our Conneaut Ohio trip, we decided to do a quick evening trip out of the home port. Ran out near A can in 25' of water and found perch in a few areas. Perch fished from 530pm-7pm. Lots of throwback perch. Caught more throwbacks than every trip this year combined. One bonus walleye. Got goldie's from bite me bait and tackle. FYI - you will be ruined if you catch a cooler full of Eastern Lake Erie Perch and come back to the West side and fish 2 days later 😭 We caught a few 11" perch tonight and they looked like dinks LOL. Anyway, there are some decent pods of perch around. Fair bite for a quick evening trip. Purple Perch fly rigs were best for us tonight. The Algae Bloom is taming down, so that was great to see! Water temp cooled down to 77. GREAT, COOL WEATHER FALL fishing is right around the corner! Chugged in slow since the waves were rolling but to also enjoy the AMAZING sunset.
