Shipping Policy

Free Shipping - Orders Over $149 - Offer Details

Eligible items ship free on domestic orders with a subtotal over $149. The total order value is based on the subtotal, before any sales tax or other charges are calculated. The top of each product listing states whether the item is eligible for free shipping offers. Oversize items are not eligible for free shipping offers. If an order breaks the $149 subtotal but is built containing a mix of eligible items and oversize/ineligible items, the shipping rate will default to the flat rate charges associated with the oversize items. The associated flat rate applied will default to our standard shipping speed. Currently fishing rods, planer board caddy systems and track mount risers are the only items that don't qualify for free shipping offers. Please reference the top of each product listing to confirm eligibility. This offer is only valid for orders shipping within the 48 contiguous United States. Offer not valid for orders shipping to Canada. All orders shipping to Canada are based on the advertised shipping rates found at checkout. 

General Shipping Details 

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-2 business days.  

Business Days when referenced shall be defined as Monday-Friday. Holidays do not count as business days. Saturday and Sunday are not business days. During our Spring Hours we will be closed Friday - Sunday. We will process orders Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm.  

Special order, custom made or non-stock items will ship based on the advertised lead times and any supply chain constraints. Non-Stock items with lead times will have the lead times advertised at the top of the product listing. 

Customers are responsible to provide accurate shipping addresses. Fishing Addiction Gear is not responsible for incorrectly provided shipping addresses. In the event a package is returned by the carrier to Fishing Addiction Gear due to the provided shipping address being invalid, the shipping costs will not be refunded. 

Shipping Speed/Transit Time 

We offer Economy or Standard Shipping. Economy shipping is the cheapest and slower of the two options. Standard shipping is a little more expensive but the faster of the two options. Business days do not include federal holidays as USPS and UPS may be closed. Transit days refer to the number of business days the package will be on the road before it gets to you. This transit time is in addition to our order processing time, which is typically 1 - 2 business days. These transit times will start after you receive the shipment notification email from us. These shipping times are estimates based on the typical transit times by each carrier, under normal circumstances, with no delays. We are not responsible for carrier delays as they are out of our control once the package is in their possession. 

Economy - Typically 3 - 6 Business Days in Transit

Economy shipments are typically processed with USPS First Class Package or USPS Ground Advantage. 

Standard - Typically 2 - 3 Business Days in Transit

Standard shipments are typically processed with UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. We choose the service that is best suited for your ship to location. NOTE: UPS Ground cannot ship to PO Boxes, so if a PO Box is used, USPS will always be the default method used. 

Orders that qualify for the Free Shipping Offer will ship via Economy by default. At checkout, you may upgrade your shipping from the default Economy speed that's included with the Free Shipping offer to the Standard option. To upgrade to Standard, you will be provided shipping cost options at checkout. 

Domestic Shipping

Domestic shipping shall be referenced as orders being processed and shipped within the United States and only in the lower 48 states.

International Shipping

Our international shipping coverage is to Canada only. We do not currently ship to any other countries outside of the United States and Canada. International orders are not eligible for any free shipping offers. International orders do not qualify for Economy or Standard shipping options. 

Orders shipping to Canada process in the same time frame referenced above in the domestic shipping section. Canada orders will ship with the required carrier customs documents on the outside of the packages. Please refer to carrier websites for current international package transit times and estimates.

Buyers in Canada are responsible for all shipping costs. This includes the shipping costs we collect up front and any additional costs that may develop after the package/packages leave our possession. Additional costs could include; customs fees, duties, tariffs and taxes. We do not determine if customs or the carrier will impose any additional charges or any of these additional fees.

We have recently had multiple customers tell us the duties/customs fees went up with UPS. We have no visibility beyond the initial freight charges we collect, and we do not want customers in Canada to get surprised by this, so we outline it here. We have also been informed that certain post offices are collecting duties on USPS first class international and USPS priority international. The duty costs have been much less than UPS, but a few customers have let us know they had to pay at the post office to collect the package. 

Damaged/Lost Packages 

Fishing Addiction Gear is not liable for any products that may be lost or damaged during shipping. If your order is lost, damaged or arrives late, please contact the carrier to file a claim or inquiry. In the event your order arrives damaged, take pictures to show the condition of the packaging before opening the package. This will help with your claim process. 

Fishing Addiction Gear packages all orders with extreme care to reduce the risk of damage by carriers as much as possible. Once the package is shipped, ownership of the package is then conveyed to the customer. 

Shipment Tracking

Once your order is shipped, a shipment notification email will be sent to the email address you provided when placing your order with us. This will include the tracking number for the shipment. Depending on the email provider, these emails may be directed to your spam/junk folder. Please check these folders if you feel your item may have shipped and you don't see a notification email. The tracking numbers assigned by the carriers can take up to 24 hours to produce tracking data. 

Once your package/packages leave our facility, we have no control over them. If you have tracking questions, shipment delay questions, or any others, please contact the carrier directly.
