You must have a spare seat post and seat base to attach this unit to. If you do not have a spare in your boat, you can buy a post or seat base from us as well. Click HERE to see our seat post and seat base listing. Most anglers have an extra seat they don't use and simply remove the seat from the seat base and mount this unit in it's place. You will need both a seat base and seat post for this. This unit comes with the stainless hardware needed to mount it to your existing seat base. You can also mount this unit to a variety of other mounts, including any of our track mount risers.
As indicated below, this unit DOES NOT work with Church tackle and larger boards. See the Modified caddy systems for these types of planer boards.

The 4 Caddy STANDARD STYLE holds many of the most popular planer boards. The standard model holds a maximum of 12 boards in the caddies, 15 boards total if you put 3 in the center tray. It holds all 3.5'' wide or less planer boards that do not have a rear pin extending beyond 3.5'' or a keel. Below are a few of the planer board models that this unit holds.
