4-8-22 Lake Erie Walleye Report

Stayed in the western basin and ran an evening trip in the stiff winds. Found a mix of stained and clean water. Fish were feeding in the stained water a few hundred yards before it got clean. We worked the same small area to get our limit of fish. Mainly fished 14-20ft of water on the east side of the reef complex. Water temp was 45-47. Speed was 1.4-1.7mph. Rapala Dhj12 Clown was our hot crank. Second best was the old faithful blue chrome bandit. Leads were short at 15-30 ft back. The weather was wicked looking at times. Only 1/3 of the fish we caught hadn't spawned. The rest were all spawned out already! It felt great to finally slip away from the business for a few hours and put some fish in the boat. FISH-ON 🐟
