5-28-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report
Launch Location - Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, OH
Great day on the water. Our group was driving in from a few hours away so we met at the dock at 7am. The north wind was laid down by the time we launched, so that was nice. Got lines set by 8am and had a spread mixed with spoons and cranks. The spoons ruled the day today. Bandit suspsending minnows caught as well at 50' back. Best program today was Michigan Stinger Scorpion Spoons 50' back behind the Off Shore Size 1 Tadpole. 2.2-2.4 mph. They wanted it a little slower than they did yesterday. Lots of shorts and some sheapshead mixed in today. Had to weed through a lot of fish to get keepers, but it was a pretty fast bite, so it kept it fun! Nascar was our hot spoon color today and seaweed dots was best again on the suspending bandit. Water was clean with great visibility. Our group was awesome on the rods, even netted fish, set lines, etc. Another fun learning charter in the books! They learned a lot and left with a cooler full of walleye! Got thier limits and played catch and release for the rest of the trip. Good luck and have a great weekend on the water.
