6-2-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report

Launch Location - Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, OH
Awesome evening trip! Glass calm, beautiful weather and unbelievable fishing. This was one of those nights on the water you dream of. We left the dock at 6pm and found a giant school of active fish right away. We had the customers limit by 645pm. We decided to keep the captain and mates fish tonight since these guys drove nearly 4 hours and they wanted to keep fishing. We caught around 40 keepers total and played catch and release for a few hours. Size zero dipsy divers on a zero setting at 30' back were best. Michigan Stinger Scorpion Spoons did most of the damage on the dipsy rods. The Suspending Bandits in Seaweed Dots pulled 12 keepers itself at 50-60 back. We couldn't get anywhere near half the rods in the water. The most we had set was 6 and ended up having 5 on at a time. Over a dozen doubles and some triples. A very successful learning charter with a pile of fish to top it off. Water temp up to 72. The speed was 2.7mph. Circled the school and they were eating like crazy. We have opened up the schedule for June. Reach out if you want to get fish with us! Click HERE to go to our Lake Erie Charter Website!
