7-3-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report

Launch Location - Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, Ohio

Quick evening trip tonight. Action was hot and heavy. Between 630-8pm was best and it was absolutely NUTS during that span of time! We had fish on all 6 rods at one point. Fished in shallow tonight. Speed was 2.7-3.2mph. East wind was rolling pretty good but was manageable. Rapala J-7s behind size zero dipsy divers on a 3 setting 40-45 back was our best setup. Rattle Tots, Hot n Tots, Flicker Minnow 9s and J-7s behind Tadpoles all took fish. A fire tiger Hot n Tot caught the 2 biggest fish, which were released. Both around 25". Another good grade of fish tonight. About 6 shorts and 6 sheepshead. 25 or so keepers hit the net and many got to swim away. Another really nice perch in the mix. We have been getting at least one perch each trip lately, which is a good sign! Beautiful evening on the water.
