9-2-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report
September fishing is starting off great. We fished the east side of Ohio waters on Lake Erie and had a great time. Fished between Ashtabula and Conneaut. Walleye were stacked in 69-70' of water for miles. We didn't start trolling until 1pm and it didn't take long to get our fish and have a full cooler of nice walleye. Even in the middle of the day with the sun high in the sky, they were chomping. We only ran 4 rods as that's all we could keep up with. Didn't get many pictures as we stayed very busy. Size 1 Dipsy Divers were the ticket. Zero setting @ 100' back was best. 3 setting at 180' back was best. 3.5'' Mighty Mo' Badmo spoons in our custom color and Eye-Caramba were the top producers. The larger size Michigan stinger standard spoons and Rapala J-7s did damage as well. 2.7-3.0 mph was our best speed. Water temp averaged 78 degrees. Water clarity was insanely good as usual out east.
