Lake Erie Perch Fishing
9/16/23 Lake Erie Perch Report
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, Ohio
.
Today we were greeted with calm seas and sunny skies. 🌞 We had lines in the water around 9am and finished up around 1230. The bite was decent at first and then slowed. The area we did well at last night produced 25 fish fairly quickly and then they scattered. We moved 15 or so times before landing on some consistent marks and action. We ended up all the way by the shipping channel in the Maumee Bay to finish up. Our Perch Fly Rig in Purple Flash and Pink Shiner were the best colors today. Caught quite a few walleye as well. Most were 4" fry size but one decent one. Did best and finished in 18' of water but we caught fish anywhere from 15'-23'. Water temp is hanging around 73 degrees. No jumbos today, most were 8-9". Lots of boats were out soaking up the sun today, which was great to see. Good luck the rest of the weekend! FISH-ON 🐟
