Dipsy Diver Leaders

Dipsy Diver Leaders play a very important role in the Dipsy Diver setup. The Dipsy Divers job is to get the spoon or lure down to the desired depth quickly. Of course to connect the lure to the Dipsy Diver you need a Dipsy Diver Leader. Leader length typically comes down to personal preference but most anglers use a size between 36'' - 84''. Leaders shouldn't be longer than the rod used. We typically use 36'' or 48'' as it's easier for netting and handling the rod. 20# fluorocarbon is the most commonly used leader material used for Dipsy Diver Leaders when walleye fishing. Our Walleye Trolling Diver Leaders are hand tied by members of our team at our shop here in Ohio. We have a fine tuned system in place to ensure each product is made consistent in length and of each leader is checked for quality. Each knot is made strong and checked for knot slip and strength with a pull testing device. All leaders are checked after the final assembly for quality before being bagged. We use only premium components to make the leaders. They are made with 20# Seaguar Fluorocarbon, Pro-Spin Snap Swivels and Pro-Lock Snaps. We don't skimp on anything. We use the line we have always used and trusted, with our house brand hardware that is proven to be top notch. Of course, we check every knot and use premium hardware, but at the end of the day, this is fishing line and it will eventually break. Be sure to inspect the Dipsy Diver Leaders for abrasions and wear as the season carries on. Each leader will last many trips when walleye fishing and when used under normal fishing situations. Before these went into bulk production we had the first small batch straight from our developed process tested by members of our Pro-Staff.
