Walleye Trolling Leaders & Trolling Beads
Here is a breakdown of how we rig our trolling rods using our Walleye Trolling Leaders and Trolling Beads. This method works great for Lake Erie Walleye and on any other body of water when trolling.

Calibrated mainline mono with a trolling bead added, then tied to our Pro-Lock duolock snap. Clip on our Walleye Trolling Leader to the mainline snap. Clip other end of the leader to the lure..
This method helps extend the life of your calibrated mainline. The added trolling bead helps catch floating weeds, bug larvae and other debris before building up on the lure. The bead also helps with rod organization and prevents anglers from reeling the snap into the rod tip. Our Walleye Trolling Leader utilizes our Pro-Spin ball bearing swivel to take out the line twist. The leaders also help preserve the life of the mainline by taking most of the beating in the high impact area where netting and handling of the fish takes place. If you use the Hawg Outdoor clips, having the leader & bead setup can also allow you to run your board down your line to the fish. This same method is also used in other trolling methods and is referred to as "slide down rigging". The added bead trick was one we learned from Captain Lance Valentine many years ago that stuck around for the long haul.
